Spain: Twenty new features of electronic judicial auctions in the Organic Law on efficiency measures in the public justice system

The new regulation contains major new provisions for electronic auctions applying to proceedings commencing on or after April 3, 2025. We have drawn up a table summarizing the twenty key changes to bear in mind.
Organic Law 1/2025 of January 2, 2025, on efficiency measures in the public justice system reforms various elements of electronic judicial auctions, aimed at perfecting and speeding up a system which, since appearing in 2015, has been working very positively, as explained in the preamble to the new law.
This table shows the key new provisions on electronic auctions for proceedings commencing on or after April 3, 2025, and compares them with the auction rules that will continue to apply to proceedings commenced before that date.
