Garrigues named regional firm of the year in Latin America at IFLR Americas Awards
The firm has also been named national law firm of the year in Peru and received an award for a transaction
Garrigues has been singled out as Latin America Regional Firm of the Year at the latest IFLR Americas Awards, presented by International Financial Law Review (IFLR).
The firm has also been named Peru National Firm of the Year and has received the Deal of the Year award in the Debt and Equity-Linked category for its advice to Corporación Financiera de Desarrollo (COFIDE) in connection with a US$400 million thematic international bond issuance.
Individually, Miluska Gutiérrez, principal associate in Garrigues' Corporate and M&A practice in Lima, has been recognized as Peru Rising Star of the Year.
The awards, which were presented at a ceremony in New York, recognize legal innovation and transactions that contribute to enhancing the cross-border investment environment.
These awards follow a series of important accolades received by Garrigues in Latin America this year, including Infrastructure Law Firm of the Year: Southern Cone; Renewable Energy Deal of the Year; and Water / Sanitation Deal of the Year by LatinFinance. The firm has also been singled out as a highly recommended law firm in Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru by Latin Lawyer 250 and named Law Firm of the Year in Peru and Chile in the LatinFinance Deals of the Year Awards.
