Ricardo Grilo is a principal associate in the Employment practice area of Garrigues Portugal.
Ricardo Grilo has been developing his activity mainly within the areas of Employment and Employment Litigation, Restructuring, Pensions & Benefits and Social Security, advising both national and international clients, on various industry sectors, including but not limited to energy, ports, health, IT, distribution and retail and telecommunications, including leading international corporations and organizations.
Ricardo Grilo has significant experience in dealing with restructuring and individual or collective redundancy procedures, transfers of undertakings or going concerns, negotiation with employees or employees’ representative bodies, preparing and executing disciplinary procedures, engagement of high ranked employees, management positions and/or directors, remuneration schemes, incoming/outgoing employees on international assignments and expat agreements.
Before joining Garrigues, Ricardo Grilo was a lawyer at FCB Sociedade de Advogados RL between September 2016 and January 2017.
Ricardo Grilo formerly practiced law at Barrocas Advogados RL from May 2010 to July 2016, as well as at Jardim Sampaio Magalhães e Silva & Associados RL from July 2008 to April 2010.
Ricardo Grilo concluded his traineeship in 2005 at the law firm Albuquerque & Associados RL, where continued working as a lawyer until June 2008.
He was admitted with the Portuguese Bar in 2005.

Ricardo Grilo studied Law at Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa and has a post graduate degree on Employment and Social Security Law from the Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Lisboa.
