Garrigues named by ITR as Spanish tax firm of the year and Portuguese transfer pricing firm of the year
The awards were presented during the ITR 2025 EMEA Tax Awards which took place in London
Garrigues received two awards at the 2025 EMEA Tax Awards presented by the International Tax Review (ITR), which specializes in tax information: Tax Law Firm of the Year in Spain and Transfer Pricing Law Firm of the Year in Portugal.
In Spain, the Tax department accounts for around 30% of the firm's total billings. With a team specializing in over 20 areas of Tax Law, Garrigues has the largest group of tax lawyers anywhere in Spain and Europe.
The awards, of which this year’s edition was the 20th, brought together in London the leading law firms and professionals in the European tax field.
These awards follow others in the area of taxation already picked up by Garrigues this year, such as Best Tax Team at the 3rd El Confidencial Business Law Awards (2025) and Best Tax Advisory Firm at the 10th Expansión Jurídico Awards (2025).
The firm also continues to be ranked in Band 1 or Tier 1 in all tax categories of the leading international directories, such as World Tax, Chambers and Legal 500.
