The professional association @asLAN has presented Cesar Mejías, the Head of Garrigues’ Technology Department, with an award in recognition of his “professional career as a CIO in the private sector” at the Directivos que Impulsan la Transformación Digital (Managers driving Digital Transformation) awards ceremony held in Madrid on April 3.
Forética, the association of corporate social responsibility businesses and organizations held an event yesterday at which it presented the results of its Enterprise 2020 campaign, to encourage youth employment and drive technological transformation from the standpoint of sustainability and social responsibility.
Garrigues has taken the international award for Best Strategy Implementation for its Innovation Think Tank, an internal ideas laboratory made up of more than one hundred professionals from different offices and professional categories which is driving innovation at the firm and promoting a different, more cross-cutting, collaborative and flexible way of working. The awards are presented by the Managing Partners’ Forum (MPF), a professional organization based in London that brings together senior executives from law firms and consulting firms in the City, in collaboration with the Harvard Business Review and the Financial Times. Each year, the awards recognize the capacity for innovation in internal management shown by international firms, as well as their progress in the quality and effectiveness of their client service. Four specific aspects are taken into consideration: Leadership & Strategy, the Client Journey, Operational Excellence and Responsible Business.
The Global Compact, the international initiative which seeks to promote corporate social responsibility (CSR) within the framework of the United Nations (UN) has included [email protected] among the good practices it has highlighted for 2018. This is a tool created by Garrigues and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, which applies robotics to the management of legal documentation. Specifically, the tool was bestowed this distinction in the Innovation category.
Garrigues has held a hackathon to celebrate the first anniversary of the Innovation Think Tank, an internal ideas lab created to channel the innovative efforts of the firm in a collective way. Around one hundred people from several of the firm’s offices, both national and international, and with different responsibilities, nationalities and ages, worked in teams on the same challenge: to come up with innovative and efficient ways of communicating with clients.
Garrigues’ new corporate website took home the 2018 Fundacom Award for the best Multimedia & Digital initiative. Fundacom is an Ibero-American foundation supporting and creating value for strategic communication in Spanish and Portuguese throughout the world. The Fundacom Awards recognize excellence and best practices in public relations and communication, showcasing the best projects produced and distributed in Spanish and/or Portuguese worldwide. Along with Garrigues, other finalists included the Argentina Telefónica Foundation, the Renault Group and Montepio Geral - Associação Mutualista.
Garrigues has launched a new corporate website (www.garrigues.com) with the three-fold aim of delivering greater added value to users, being more user-friendly and harnessing the latest technologies. The website has been completely redesigned and now constitutes an information portal, mirroring the actions of the foremost multinationals.
