Four Garrigues projects recognized at the FT European Innovative Lawyers Awards

Garrigues ranks among the top five tech-savvy law firms in Europe

The Financial Times has held its awards celebrating innovation in the European legal sector. Garrigues achieved recognition from the legal market on four specific projects. Not only that, the firm managed to leap over twenty places to nineteenth in the ranking of the fifty most innovative firms in Europe, including English-speaking firms.

In the Business of Law category, the UK publication recognized Garrigues’ and G-advisory’s work on developing an IT application which enables the management of a comprehensive regulatory compliance system. This initiative, which has already been successfully implemented, was “highly commended”, placing the firm among the top five tech-savvy European law firms.

Moreover, in the Legal Expertise category, two transactions coordinated by the corporate/commercial and tax departments were “commended” and were ranked, respectively, among the most innovative projects in the Driving Value and Enabling Business Growth subcategories.

This year was the first time that the awards included a specific category rewarding strategic collaboration in the legal services industry. The Madrid Regional Government’s program on training in constitutional values for immigrants, on which Garrigues collaborates alongside other law firms, was highlighted in this category.
