Montse Mas is the Partner in charge of Garrigues in the Balearic Islands, where she has pursued her professional career following a stint at Arthur Andersen in Barcelona.
She specializes in tax law, net worth and corporate restructuring, optimal ownership structures, designing investment vehicles in keeping with company strategy, etc.; international taxation, the real estate industry and advising foreign investors and multinational with interests in Spain and Spanish companies on their internationalization processes.
She has also headed up numerous corporate transactions: sales of companies, agreements with financial and/or strategic and industrial partners, share pooling processes, MBOs, and holds office as Board Secretary at major Balearic Islands companies.
She is a member of the Hotels and Tourism, Family Business and Corporate Restructuring Departments at Garrigues.
Singled out by the US publication “Best lawyers” as a leading practitioner in Spain in the tax law practice area.
Regular speaker at conferences and seminars on her areas of expertise and contributor to specialist reviews and journals on such subjects.
She has been an Associate Lecturer at Universidad de las Islas Baleares on Real Estate Taxation.
