Garrigues was one of the first European firms to open for business in the United States, opening its New York office in 1973.
The primary focus of the New York practice is two-fold.
We advise our North American and Canadian clients on a wide range of corporate and tax matters under Spanish law, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, finance, restructuring, security markets, and investment structures.
We also accompany the Firm’s clients during the initial stages of their investments in the U.S. and Canada. From New York, we provide advice on corporate, commercial and business matters, coordinating work with leading local firms on complex domestic transactions, tax issues, the securities markets, banking and regulated industries, among others.
Garrigues offers a full-service platform through our offices in Colombia, Peru, Mexico and Chile, serving as gateway to Latin America for our clients.
