Mexico -

The Sustainability Commission of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Mexico (Camescom) acknowledged the firm's commitment to sustainability and the environment through its Eco-efficiency Plan.

Garrigues has received the Sustainability Recognition Award from the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Mexico (Camescom) for its commitment to the development and promotion of sustainable practices. The panel took into account "the firm's environmental commitment and the excellent results that the practice has generated" through the Garrigues Eco-efficiency Plan, the firm's environmental roadmap.

This is the first time that the Chamber has granted this award promoted by the Sustainability Commission, to encourage the sustainable economic development of Spanish companies in Mexico, bringing them closer to the current issues related to ESG.

Jaime Iglesias, partner in charge of the Mexico and Bogota offices, accepted the award, which highlights Garrigues' commitment to sustainability as a model of corporate social and environmental responsibility in Latin America. "We firmly believe that, as a benchmark in the international legal profession, Garrigues must be committed to the major challenges facing society. Our commitment as an organization is therefore to contribute to generating an environment of security and trust that promotes the development of companies in a fairer, more ethical, responsible and sustainable society," said Jaime Iglesias after accepting the award.
