Tiago Azevedo Basílio is a Senior Associate in the Banking & Finance practice at Garrigues in Lisbon, with a particular focus on advising institutional lenders, private lenders, borrowers, sponsors and corporate debt issuers on both cross-border and domestic finance transactions. His expertise includes project finance, leveraged finance, acquisition finance, real estate finance and mezzanine finance across several industries, such as energy, both physical and digital infrastructure, real estate, retail, tourism and hospitality.

Tiago regularly acts for private credit funds and private lenders, as well as borrowers supporting them on a broad range of private debt and direct lending transactions, distressed debt, special situations, and restructurings.

He also advises on DCM transactions, representing both issuers and noteholders in debt securities issuances (from investment-grade to high-yield), MTN and CP programs, and structured finance and securitizations transactions.
