Sofía Lazcano is the partner in charge of G-advisory, the Garrigues group subsidiary specializing in technical, economic and strategic consulting in the areas of energy, environment, climate change and sustainability, and a benchmark firm in the market. She is also the partner in charge of the G-advisory offices in Paris and Santiago de Chile. She previously worked at Alatec and has a master’s degree in environmental management from Escuela de Organización Industrial.
In the field of renewables, she has worked on numerous projects in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Oceania, specializing in the provision of technical advice to developers, financial institutions and investors in projects involving a wide range of technologies, such as wind power, photovoltaic solar power, thermoelectric solar power, biomass, cogeneration and hydroelectric power, among others. She also has expertise in technical due diligence processes, technology analysis, negotiation of EPC and O&M contracts, and evaluating the costs associated with these projects.
With respect to environmental matters, she has participated in projects concerning waste, contaminated land and air pollution, analyzing aspects ranging from technical issues to their economic impact. She has also provided environmental and social advice on energy projects for financial institutions and investors.
Her work on international projects is extensive: she is the partner in charge of the Paris and Santiago de Chile offices and has participated in projects in France, Germany, the UK, Poland, Israel, Australia, the US, Canada, Chile, Uruguay and Peru, among others.
Sofía is a regular speaker at national and international forums on current energy issues and on energy training. She is a member of the Madrid Association of Industrial Engineers.
