Miguel Ángel López Mateo is partner in the Corporate Law and Commercial Contracts practice.
He has extensive expertise in advising clients from a wide range of industries, such as the food, financial services, real estate, energy and chemicals industries, among others.
His experience enables him to understand the specific needs of industrial companies in complex processes involving sale and purchase transactions, mergers and the setting-up of joint ventures, the establishment of foreign groups and companies in Spain, the expansion of Spanish groups abroad, the restructuring and refinancing of bank debt, and the financing of new projects.
Having trained in the UK and the US, as well as in Germany, he has particularly strong ties with foreign clients, as well as with Spanish clients with a strong presence abroad.
He has been an associate lecturer at Universidad de Murcia (on the law degree and on the bilingual modules of the MBA course) from 2010 to 2018.
Miguel Ángel Lopez Mateo is a member of the Murcia Bar Association and an international member of the University of Western Ontario’s Obligations Discussion Group (ODG).
