Inês is a Senior Associate in the Corporate and M&A department of Garrigues since January 2024. She joined the firm in September 2017, as a Junior Lawyer.

Inês has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, domestic and cross-border transactions, restructuring operations, and corporate law, covering several stages and assistance to different parties of investment procedures and ongoing business. She advises Portuguese companies and foreign companies intending to pursue business in Portugal, shareholders, founders, investors, purchasers, sellers, and financing parties.

Work highlights in recent years include:

• Advising TagEnergy in raising EUR 450 million from Impala, Mirova, and Omnes aimed at funding renewable energy and battery projects in Europe and Australia, as well as in its subsequent investment rounds;
• Advising Feedzai in its series D investment round, raising USD 200 million from KKR and other reference investors and becoming the only unicorn headquartered in Portugal;
• Advising Apax in its EUR 168 million acquisition of GamaLife (previously GNB Vida) from Novo Banco; and
• Advising Santander in setting up its Portuguese bancassurance alliances with Aegon and Mapfre.

She speaks native Portuguese and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian.
