Diego Harman is a partner at the Firm’s Lima office, where he specializes in project finance, public-private partnerships (PPP), infrastructure projects, capital markets, bank finance and mergers & acquisitions.
Before joining Garrigues, he was a senior associate in the corporate area at Rubio Leguía Normand (Lima, 2007-2012), a member of the LatAm project finance practice at DLA Piper (US) LLP (New York, 2013-2015) and a senior member of the LatAm project finance practice at Clifford Chance US LLP (New York, 2015-2017).
He has extensive experience in structuring financing for energy and infrastructure projects in Latin America, with an emphasis on project bonds, hybrid financing, structured financing and securitizations, in addition to EPC, O&M and PPP contracts.
He provides ongoing advice to investors and sponsors, investment and commercial banks, as well as multilateral and government agencies on matters relating to banking and finance, energy, infrastructure and transport, having participated in the main banking, securities market and M&A deals in the Peruvian market.
He was a lecturer in the business planning course at the Law School of Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas from 2010 to 2012.
