Cláudia Tomás Pedro has been Counsel in the Industrial and Intellectual Property department since 2025, having developed her career in Portugal in different law firms and abroad. It should be noted that she was coordinator of the intellectual property and technology department in Portugal of the law firm Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, having previously collaborated at the European Union Intellectual Property Office and also at Baptista, Monteverde & Associados. At the beginning of his career, he had the opportunity to work with a law firm in England for a year.

He has been representing and providing strategic advice to national and foreign clients on contentious and non-contentious matters (e.g. protection strategy, contracts, audits, legal opinions, terms and conditions), having significant experience in industrial property law, intellectual property law (including copyright and related rights, computer programs, databases), trade secrets, and related areas of law, such as contract law, image rights, unfair competition, e-commerce, information technology, digital law, advertising law, consumer law.

He is fluent in Portuguese and English, having a good command of Spanish and French and knowledge of German.

She is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association, an official industrial property agent at the National Institute of Industrial Property, a trademark and design agent at the European Union Intellectual Property Office. Throughout his career he has actively participated in associations in the area such as INTA – International Trademark Association and MARQUES – European Trade Mark Owners Association. Currently, he is a member of the Cyberspace Team of MARQUES – European Trade Mark Owners Association.
