Antonio Rego is a partner of the Garrigues Corporate and M&A Department (Bilbao office), where he specializes in corporate law, and mergers and acquisitions in particular, commercial contracts, and in the specialist areas of family business, health and welfare benefits and regulatory law linked to the regulation, supervision and solvency of insurance companies. He has broad experience in providing ongoing advice on these matters to companies, and in some cases also acts as secretary to the company’s managing body. He has a law degree from Universidad de Deusto (Bilbao) and also lectures at the Faculty of Law.
Antonio Rego has been a partner of the Corporate and M&A Department of Garrigues since 2001, and joined the firm in 1987.
He has extensive experience in:

- Commercial contracts and corporate M&A.
He specializes in:
- Law related to health and welfare benefits and in regulatory law on the regulation, supervision and solvency of insurance companies. He provides ongoing advice to the main insurers in his area of practice.

Antonio Rego lectures at the Faculty of Law of Universidad de Deusto (Bilbao). He currently teaches Commercial Contracts Law on the dual degree in Business Administration and Law at Deusto Business School (Bilbao campus).
Antonio Rego has been a member of the Bizkaia Bar Association since 1990.
Antonio Rego has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Bilbao since 2014 in the Corporate and M&A Law and Insurance Law categories, and was named Lawyer of the Year (Bilbao) in the Corporate and M&A Law category in 2015.
