Isabel Pascual de Quinto is counsel in the Intellectual Property department. She has extensive experience in providing advice on trademarks; industrial designs; patents; copyright; unfair competition and advertising.
She specializes in cross-border litigation related to trademark matters. She has over fifteen years’ experience in advising businesses in relation to counterfeiting and piracy and also on the adoption of customs measures in defense of intellectual property rights. She also provides advisory services in drafting agreements for the assignment and licensing of industrial property rights and also confidentiality, transfer of technology and know-how agreements.
She also provides ongoing advisory services in the above-mentioned areas, both pre-litigation (drafting cease and desist letters and conflict-resolution agreements), as well as in court (proceedings in connection with the infringement or validity of intellectual property rights before the civil, commercial and criminal courts).
She lectures on the AENOR Master’s Degree on Innovation Management, on the Master´s Degree in Business Law at Centro de Estudios Garrigues, and on the Master’s Degree in Business Management of the Luxury Goods and Fashion Industry.
She is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences, among others. Her presentation at the Round Table Legal implications of marketing and advertising through influencers for the Summer Courses organized by the University of Malaga should be highlighted and also her participation in the fashion event organized by DENAE, at the Clothing Museum, giving the paper Counterfeits and copies. How to solve conflicts in this area. She participated as speaker at the XIV Jornadas del Tribunal de Marcas de la Unión Europea (European Union trade mark Court), 21-22 November 2019, regarding the procedural exception of lack of use in trademark infringement claims (Intervening rights); including at the conference R&D&I and industrial property as the driving force of business competition, in which she discussed Protecting innovation: Patents and Know-how. She also participated as speaker at the IV Foro Aranzadi de Derecho de Propiedad Industrial, in relation to the business perspective of influencers and brands (1 October 2020).
Her participation in the conference organized by the Madrid Bar Association, in which she gave a paper on Designs. A growing trend. Relevant cases should also be underscored. In July 2022 she participated as speaker in the second workshop Digital Fashion. The trademark in the Metaverse, organized by La Tecnocreativa and Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. She also regularly gives training courses on Industrial Property Infringement, both to companies in the private sector and to the law enforcement agencies.
Isabel Pascual de Quinto has been a member of the Madrid Bar Association since 2000.
She was once again singled out as one of the leading lawyers in the Intellectual Property: Trademarks category of the prestigious directory The Legal 500. She was also named rising star in the Best Intellectual Property Lawyers category of the Best Lawyers directory.
