Garrigues recognized by LatinFinance for its project and infrastructure work
The firm shared Infrastructure Financing of the Year: Andes at the LatinFinance Project and Infrastructure Finance Awards
Garrigues has been recognized for its legal advice on two financing projects in the latest edition of the LatinFinance Project and Infrastructure Finance Awards, organized by Latin Finance.
Specifically, the firm was a winner in the Infrastructure Financing of the Year: Andes category for its advice to Orygen Energía (the Peruvian subsidiary of Niagara Energy) on a comprehensive refinancing deal that combined a $100 million term loan and a $150 million revolving credit facility. The deal was part of a larger transaction that included a $1.2 million bond issue.
Garrigues also received an honorable mention for its advice to lenders in relation to the refinancing of various loans linked to the “big three” photovoltaic park portfolio (Quillagua, Víctor Jara and Gabriela Mistral) in Chile. This transaction, valued at over $1 billion, will generate over 500 MW.
Over the year, local teams from Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru have received various accolades, including Socially Responsible Company for Garrigues Mexico (for the 10th year running); Law Firm of the Year: Peru at the LatinFinance Deals of the Year Awards; Deal of the Year - Finance at the Legal 500 Colombia Awards; and Highly recommended firm in Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru in the Latin Lawyer 250 ranking.
