Garrigues named 'Law Firm of the Year: Peru' by LatinFinance
The firm also won awards for three financial deals in Chile and Peru

Garrigues has been named Law Firm of the Year: Peru at the 2024 Deals of the Year Awards, organized by LatinFinance. This award, one of the most prestigious in the Latin American legal sector, takes into account key factors such as innovation, professional excellence, ESG impact and success of advised deals.
The LatinFinance Deals of the Year Awards celebrate the most outstanding deals and exceptional institutions in the transaction markets of Latin America and the Caribbean.
This year, three financial deals on which Garrigues acted as legal adviser were named deals of the year in the Transaction Awards category.
Specifically, the Chile team shared two accolades: Quasi-Sovereign High-Grade Bond of the Year (for the $2 billion offering by Codelco, the world’s largest Copper producer and a key pillar of the Chilean economy) and Quasi-Sovereign Liability Management of the Year (for the $600 million bond offering to refinance debt by State-owned oil company ENAP, a fundamental player in the economic development of Chile).
In Peru, the firm shared the Subnational Deal of the Year award for the $325 million bond issue by Municipalidad Metropolitana de Lima.
The awards dinner took place in New York, with commercial law partner Thomas Thorndike from the Peru office representing Garrigues.
