Javier Toribio is currently a counsel at the Firm, where he has pursued his entire professional career for 20 years in the practice areas of Administrative Law, Planning and Zoning, Environmental and Administrative Litigation, providing advice to companies and individuals in their dealings with public authorities and public sector entities.
Experience
He has extensive experience in matters relating to the following fields: mining, water, coasts, ports, renewable energy, planning and zoning, the environment, financial liability of the public authorities, condemnation, State aid and subsidies, public procurement, pharmaceuticals, consumer protection, domestic trade, and penalty proceedings in all areas of administrative law.
In addition, he conducts numerous cases before the judicial review courts, defending the interests of individuals and private entities in disputes with the public authorities.
He provides recurring advice to industrial companies and, in particular, to companies in the chemical, construction and mining sectors on the establishment and pursuit of their businesses.
He also prepares opinions and reports on planning and zoning issues, advising developers on these matters for the development of residential and commercial areas, as well as industrial estates and zones.
He has coordinated studies, opinions and reports for the purpose of providing technical and legal assistance to public authorities on legislative initiatives and implementing regulations.
He is a member of the faculty of the post-graduate programs at Universidad Loyola, as well as in the Public Law Department of Universidad Pablo de Olavide (UPO-Seville).
Javier Toribio is a member of the Seville Bar Association.
