Viola Shen first established her professional foundation at the firm as a Tax Associate in 2011, before re-joining as a Senior Associate in the Corporate Law Department in 2026. Following her initial tenure through 2015, she practiced at several prestigious international and leading domestic law firms, where she provided comprehensive legal and tax advisory services for a full spectrum of corporate and transactional matters. This period of diversified practice allowed her to accumulate extensive hands-on experience navigating the complexities of the Chinese legal and regulatory landscapes for both multinational and domestic clients.

With over 15 years of professional experience, Viola’s practice is uniquely characterized by a dual proficiency in legal and fiscal strategy. Holding both the Legal Professional Qualification and the Certified Tax Agent qualification, she provides integrated solutions for clients. Viola has advised on landmark transactions across core sectors, including acting for international and local investors on equity acquisition and asset disposals in China. She also counsels on VIE structure setup, corporate restructuring, land acquisition, tax/customs compliance, cross-border education cooperation and overseas financing for multinational and domestic clients across real estate, infrastructure, manufacturing and education industries.
