Simón Beceiro Cagiao joined Garrigues in 2012 and has been a senior associate in the firm’s Commercial Law Department since 2020.
He has extensive expertise in transactions in transactions involving the acquisition and sale of companies and production units; mergers, takeovers and other structural modifications; insolvency and pre-insolvency proceedings; corporate restructuring and debt refinancing; food chain compliance; industrial and intellectual property; e-commerce, marketplaces and digital businesses.
He provides recurring advice on corporate and contract law, both nationally and internationally, to startups and relevant family companies in various sectors of activity, among which agribusiness, tourism, hotels and restaurants, renewable energies, digital business, health, construction and industrial.
He also advises on pre-litigation and contentious disputes in the civil jurisdiction, with special experience before the Commercial Courts.
He is fluent in Spanish, Galician and English.

Simón lectures in Restructuring & Insolvency Law at the Master's Degree for Access to the Legal Profession of the Bar Association of A Coruña and the University of A Coruña, since 2017. He has also lectured in Corporate Law and Restructuring & Insolvency Law in the Master's Degree in Business Law Practice at IFFE Business School.
