Ricardo Villanueva is a partner at the firm and has pursued his entire professional career at the Bilbao office, having joined Garrigues in January 2005.
He specializes in both business and contract-related aspects of corporate/commercial law, providing ongoing business law advice to an array of domestic and international clients active in all sorts of industries (aircraft, finance, insurance, steel, food, entertainment, etc.), while also acting in some cases as secretary on such entities’ corporate bodies.
Moreover, Ricardo has taken part in many Spanish and international company reorganization processes, and in business and company acquisition and sale transactions, acquisitions of ownership interests, joint ventures and debt restructuring operations.
He has extensive expertise in regulatory matters related to insurance and social welfare, advising insurance companies, pension funds and voluntary provident entities.
He has collaborated as lecturer in the Business Law Executive Master’s Degree program promoted by Centro de Estudios Garrigues.
He also contributes to and speaks at seminars and conferences organized by corporations and various specialist centers.
Ricardo is a member of the Gipuzkoa Bar Association.
Degree in Law, Universidad de Deusto, majoring in economic law and studying for his final year at Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE E-1).
Author of various articles on corporate and social welfare legal matters, published in both general and specialist media.
