Miguel Ángel Ruiz Rozo is a Colombian attorney graduated from the Jurisprudence School of Universidad del Rosario, with a focus on individual and collective labor law. He has experience in legal consulting, labor litigation, corporate compliance audits, and advising both domestic and international clients. Throughout his professional career, he has worked at prestigious law firms in Colombia and Argentina, including Garrigues Colombia, Bruchou & Funes de Rioja, and MBP Lawyers.
He complements his professional profile with a strong commitment to pro bono work, participating in the protection of the rights of individuals in vulnerable situations, as well as with academic and research activities that include publications in specialized legal media and awards at national legal research conferences.

Experience
Miguel Ángel Ruiz Rozo joined Garrigues Colombia in August 2025 as a member of the Labor and Employment Department, under the supervision of partner Carolina Camacho Solana.
He has experience providing comprehensive legal advice on individual and collective labor law, collective bargaining with labor unions, labor audits, and corporate compliance processes.
He advises clients on the management and follow-up of labor disputes before both ordinary and constitutional courts, including the development of litigation strategies, drafting of legal briefs, participation in hearings, and evidentiary analysis.
He also contributes to the preparation of legal opinions, regulatory research, and ongoing monitoring of labor law reforms, supporting informed decision-making for clients and internal teams.
He is fluent in Spanish (native) and English (C1, Cambridge International certified).
Prior to joining Garrigues, he worked as a Junior Associate at Quintero & Quintero Asesores S.A.S. in Bogotá, specializing in labor law advisory and litigation. He also completed internships in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with the Argentine Pro Bono Commission, Bruchou & Funes de Rioja, and MBP Lawyers, where he collaborated on legal research, human rights advocacy, and legal assistance for non-profit organizations.
