María José Pardo is a senior associate in the practice areas of Corporate Law and Commercial Contracts, Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Governance & Corporate Social Responsibility, and Energy.
In the corporate/commercial field, she is a member of Garrigues’s Corporate Governance industry group and provides advice on this area to some of the largest listed companies in Spain. She also specializes in mergers and acquisitions and in outsourcing, advising local and multinational companies on transactions with a national and international dimension.
In the energy industry, she has provided advice to international companies on setting up business in Spain as well as to Spanish companies wishing to expand abroad, advice which encompasses all project and regulatory areas in the sector. She has also been involved in various sale and purchase transactions related to major projects in the energy industry.
During part of 2010 and 2011, she practiced in Garrigues’s London office.
She speaks at seminars on energy and good corporate governance and contributes to various articles and publications on Spanish company law, corporate governance and energy.
