Marcela Horzella is a principal associate of the Real Estate area of Garrigues’ Santiago de Chile office. She has more than 20 years of experience advising clients on corporate and real estate matters, and has in-depth knowledge of the real estate business that enables her to deliver strategic advice on each project. She assists her clients in the analysis of the various factors involved in each transaction, such as deal structuring, financing and commercialization. Her practice also covers the Corporate and M&A area. She has a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from University of Heidelberg, Germany.
Experience
projects, serving as the main point of contact for clients and supporting them from inception through to full completion. Her work is mainly focused on supervising property title assessments and due diligence reviews, structuring and negotiating real estate contracts, coordinating deal closings and advising clients on zoning and regulatory requirements.
Before joining Garrigues, Marcela was practice director at Barros Silva Varela & Vigil (2019–2026), where she joined as a senior associate. Previously, she had worked as a senior associate in the corporate legal department of a telecommunications company (2017–2018) and she worked at various domestic legal firms in the real estate and corporate areas (2001–2013).
She is fluent in Spanish, English and German.
