José Ignacio joined the Corporate Law Department at Garrigues in 2023 and has been an associate since 2024. He has experience in project finance and both local and international corporate financing, as well as corporate restructuring transactions. Additionally, he provides ongoing contractual and corporate advisory services to companies across various industries.

As part of his experience, he has participated in high-profile transactions and projects, including: (i) the financing of the Matarani Solar Power Plant construction project; (ii) financing for Ashmore Renewables S.A.C. in the acquisition of power generation companies in Peru; (iii) bond issuances for Auna, Hunt Oil Subsidiary Peru Branch, and Aenza S.A.A.; and (iv) corporate loans for key companies in their respective industries, such as Universidad Tecnológica del Perú S.A.C., Pesquera Diamante S.A., and STRACON S.A.

He was previously an associate at Dentons Peru and is fluent in English.
