Jordi Maeso Ortí is a Senior Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate and Commercial Law practice at the Barcelona office. He participates in both domestic and cross-border transactions, primarily focusing on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, private equity, and corporate group restructurings.
Likewise, he also regularly advises Spanish and international clients on all aspects of corporate law and corporate governance, as well as on the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts and agreements.
Experience
Jordi joined Garrigues in 2023, having previously worked at other law firms.
He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate restructurings, private equity, and corporate governance. He regularly advises on mergers, acquisitions, business reorganizations, and the creation of strategic alliances and joint ventures, both domestically and internationally.
He also provides ongoing commercial advice on corporate and contractual matters to various Spanish companies and international groups operating in Spain. His work includes advising boards of directors on corporate governance and secretariat to both listed and unlisted companies; planning and executing complex corporate restructurings, including mergers and spin-offs; and regularly assisting with the negotiation and drafting of commercial agreements such as distribution, agency, franchise, and supply agreements, among others.
