Jesús Fariza is a senior associate in the Corporate/Commercial Law Department. He specializes in providing corporate advice, including on complex corporate restructuring (both domestic and international), joint ventures or shareholders’ agreements, and in private equity transactions and sales and purchases of companies and businesses, from coordinating and supervising the multidisciplinary due diligence teams to the negotiation of the contracts that form the backbone of the transaction.
He also provides advice on commercial and civil contracts to a wide range of clients in an array of industries, including companies, foundations, associations, joint ventures, EIGs, etc.).
He has a Degree in Law and Economics and Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, (ICADE E-3) and in Geography and History from UNED.

Jesús joined Garrigues (then Arthur Andersen, Asesores Legales y Tributarios) in 1996 and has been a Senior Associate since 2002.
He has extensive experience in providing corporate/commercial law advice, particularly in corporate and M&A transactions. In the corporate law area he has served as board secretary of several companies and has participated in the planning and execution of all types of corporate transactions, including complex domestic and international corporate restructuring, joint ventures, investment and shareholders agreements. He has also carried out numerous private equity transactions and sales and purchases of companies and businesses in a range of industries, preparing the sale and purchase agreements and heading the negotiations and multidisciplinary due diligence teams involved.
He also provides advice on commercial and civil contracts to a wide range of clients in an array of industries such as private equity funds, real estate and distribution companies, travel and advertising agencies, entities that provide professional services, biotechnology, pharmacy, and technology companies, the media, non-profit entities, etc.
His clients mainly include companies of all kinds (from SMEs or family businesses to large corporations and multinationals), and he has also advised specific entities such as foundations, associations, joint ventures, EIGs, etc.
He is fluent in Spanish and English.
He collaborates with the Knowledge Department and has participated in several pro bono activities.
