Jairo Jaller is an associate of the Labor and Employment Department of Garrigues in Bogotá. He has been a practicing lawyer since 2014. He specializes in the areas of labor law and social security. He advises local and international clients from a range of sectors on labor relations and labor litigation. He qualified as a lawyer at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá and holds a specialist qualification and Master’s Degree in labor law and social security from the same university. He has published various articles on collective labor law and drug policies in Colombia. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
Jairo joined the firm as an associate in 2022. He previously worked at one of the main labor law firms in Colombia and at one of the leading full-service firms in the country.
He has extensive experience in advising local and international clients on labor law and social security matters, as well as in audit and due diligence processes in M&A deals. He advises on the handling of labor and collective relations and assists with collective bargaining processes, processes before the Ministry of Labor, labor lawsuits, and processes involving the social security authorities.
He has participated in and provided labor law advice on processes for the formation and restructuring of companies in Colombia.
He is fluent in Spanish and English.
