Fernando has been a senior associate in the Garrigues Industrial and Intellectual Property Department since 2011. He joined the firm in 2005.

He has extensive experience of more than 20 years in providing prior advice, processing and registration of distinctive signs (Spanish national trademarks, EU trademarks, international trademarks and national trademarks abroad). He deals with the defense of Industrial Property rights and actions before the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, the Intellectual Property Office of the U.E. and the World Industrial Property Organization with the objective of advising clients in the implementation and development of appropriate and effective strategies for the protection of Industrial Property rights worldwide. His collaboration with law firms abroad has allowed him to establish professional relationships of trust with specialists in Industrial Property throughout the world, especially the US, Australia, Japan and Latin America.

Degree in Law, Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Fernando teaches various programs, including the Master in Fashion and Luxury Business Management at the MSMK Madrid School of Marketing, the Master in Brand Experience and Lifestyle at the Escuela Internacional de Comunicación and the SBA Sport Business Administration at the Centro de Estudios Garrigues.

Fernando Rubiano Fernández is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
