She has advised domestic and foreign investors and companies in myriad industries on their day-to-day legal needs, including corporate and commercial matters related to establishing their businesses in Mexico. She also has experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, divestments, sale and purchase transactions, including due diligence processes, grants of security and financing.
She also advises high-net-worth families on the structure and implementation of wealth and succession advisory vehicles.
Experience
Debby Mckey is a partner in the Corporate and M&A practice. As an expert in local and international transactions, she advises companies and private equity funds on acquisitions, financings and refinancings. She has represented a Dutch company in the acquisition of a Mexican company valued at US$80 million, as well as a private equity fund in the US$40 million purchase of a Mexican company in the flexible cardboard packaging industry. She also took part in the US$230 million acquisition of a Mexican company which included syndicated financing totaling US$135 million.
In the finance sphere, she represented a Mexican company in the refinancing of a US$140 million syndicated loan and advised investors on the structure of special vehicles for real estate projects with a total investment of around US$120 million. In addition, she assisted with the formation of a Mex$102 million investment fund focusing on information, internet and mobile technologies.
Her experience includes high-profile transactions such as the sale of the water technology branch of a multinational company for several billion US dollars, covering jurisdictions such as Mexico, Brazil and the United States. She also advises companies from a wide range of industries on their day-to-day legal needs and counsels high-net-worth families on the structure and implementation of wealth advice.
