David Guerras Manrique is a principal associate in the Commercial Department of Garrigues, where he has been working since 2005. He specialises in the areas of Commercial Contracts and Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Banking and Finance Law and Family Businesses areas. In his professional activity David is regularly involved in highly complex transactions, including:

• Advising on numerous company and asset acquisitions.
• Corporate and project financings, as well as financial restructurings.
• Corporate restructuring transactions of business groups.
• Investment agreements, particularly in relation to start-ups, advising both promoters and investors.

David has extensive experience in advising family business groups based in Castilla y León, both in terms of the recurring advice they require, as well as in all matters relating to the design and implementation of the legal instruments necessary for the planning of generational succession (family protocols, partner agreements, contingency plans, succession planning, etc.).

David also holds the position of non-director secretary in several companies.

David is a regular speaker at various conferences organised by the firm, as well as by other entities and associations. David has also been a lecturer at the School of Legal Practice of the Valladolid Bar Association, as well as in the Master's Degree in Legal Consultancy of the Valladolid Chamber of Commerce.
