David Fernández Asensi is a Senior Associate in Garrigues’ Corporate and M&A practice in Madrid and has pursued his entire professional career at the firm.

Experience
David joined the firm in 2018 and is currently a Senior Associate in the Corporate and M&A practice in Madrid. He specializes in Securities Market law and has extensive experience in the issuance of all types of fixed-income and equity securities, including ECP and EMTN issues, promissory notes, bonds, nonconvertible and convertible debentures, among others, as part of both Spanish and international transactions, as well as capital increases at listed companies and IPOs on regulated markets and Spanish and foreign multilateral trading facilities.
He also has extensive experience in providing advice on corporate governance matters and the office of secretary of the board of directors and its committees to companies admitted to trading on various regulated markets and multilateral trading facilities.
In the last quarter of 2024, he was seconded to Garrigues’ offices in Lima (Peru), and also actively participated in the office’s commercial and promotional activities during his time there.
