Daniel is a lawyer in the Real Estate and Urban Planning practice, where he advises on real estate, land use, urban planning, and land law matters. Daniel has been a member of Garrigues’ Real Estate and Urban Planning practice since 2024, the same year he joined the firm.
He advises domestic and international clients on real estate, urban planning, and land law matters.
His professional experience includes:
- Conducting real estate due diligence in the context of domestic and cross-border transactions, including title review, chain-of-title analysis, and the assessment of encumbrances, liens, easements, and other restrictions affecting real property.
- Preparing land use and urban planning feasibility studies for agroforestry projects, including the evaluation of zoning and land-use regulations, territorial planning instruments, urban planning permits, and the legal framework applicable to rural properties.
- Assisting in the structuring of real estate and urban development transactions, including the drafting and review of sale and purchase agreements, preliminary sale agreements, lease agreements, real estate trust arrangements, and other related transactional documentation.
- Preparing legal memoranda and opinions regarding urban planning regulations and development feasibility.
- Assisting in the creation, review, and analysis of security interests, encumbrances, and other limitations affecting property rights.
Daniel is fluent in both Spanish and English.
Academic background
Law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, with concentrations in International Commercial Law and Tort Law.
