Since 2018, Andrés Felipe Melo has been part of Garrigues’ Banking & Finance and Securities Markets practice areas.

In his professional activity he has participated in advisory services to different entities of the Colombian financial sector, as well as to leading FinTech entities, and has also participated in consultancies with foreign financial supervisors; his experience also includes the structuring of local and international securities issuances, in addition to transactional advisory services where he has led negotiations with an impact on the Colombian financial sector. Therefore, among others,  he has developed the following activities:

• Advise on incorporation, conversion, acquisition and merger processes of financial entities;
• Advise on local and international securities issuances;
• Advise on financial regulatory matters, both for financial institutions and FinTech industry players;
• Advise on joint venture agreements for the development of projects, as well as credit agreements with fiduciary structures between local and international players; and
• Advise on consultancies that have involved the analysis and drafting of financial regulations.

Andrés Felipe participated in the program "Introduction to the International Practice of Business Law" offered by Centro de Estudios Garrigues (Madrid, Spain).
