Aitor Fernández is a senior associate in the Corporate and Real Estate Law department at Garrigues. He specialises in the areas of banking and finance, real estate and restructuring and insolvency law, having advised on both domestic and international transactions with a multi-jurisdictional component. He also has extensive experience in advising on the sale and purchase of companies (including share deals with real estate as an underlying asset) and has participated in operations for admission and delisting from multilateral trading facilities.
Experience
Aitor Fernández joined Garrigues’ Corporate and Real Estate Law department in 2018, and has been involved in transactions including:
- Domestic and international financings, both bilateral and syndicated, and more broadly focused on asset acquisitions and real estate financing.
- Real estate asset acquisitions (asset deal and share deal), construction and delegated development agreements, leases and sale & leaseback transactions in the logistics, office, shopping centre, student residence and residential sectors.
- Purchase and sale of non-performing loan (NPL) portfolios and distressed sector transactions.
- Capital markets, in particular admission to and delisting from multilateral trading facilities.

- Master’s Degree in Law and Master’s Degree in International Business Law from ESADE (Ramón Llull University), 2018.
