Mexico: Modification to the calendar for the call for priority attention to new power generation projects aligned with binding planning
Due to the interest of individuals in the call for priority attention to generation permits and with the aim of encouraging greater private participation, the Ministry of Energy (SENER) made some adjustments to the dates of the initial calendar established therein.
Following up on the newsletterpublished on October 23, 2025, regarding the call for priority attention to applications for electric generation permits and interconnection permits to the national electricity system, aligned with binding planning, on October 24, 2025, SENER published a resolution in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) issuing a modification to said call.
Specifically, paragraph 6 of the call, entitled “Calendar for determining the granting of power generation permits derived from the call” is amended to include the extension of the period for statements of interest by individuals and requests for interconnection studies until October 31, 2025.
