Garrigues opens new office in Tangiers
Garrigues has strengthened its presence in Morocco with the opening of a new office in Tangiers. Rapid expansion in northern Morocco and the growth experienced by the Firm since the opening of the Casablanca office in late 2005 have made it necessary to have a permanent presence in Tangiers.

The Tangiers office will be fully operational in January 2009 and will be located in the city center, near Place de France. With the opening of this office, the Garrigues Maroc team will be composed of 18 professionals, coordinated by partner José Ignacio García Muniozguren.
The team is almost entirely comprised of Moroccan professionals with extensive experience and its clients include not only Spanish companies with interests in Morocco, but also Moroccan and foreign companies, as well as the Moroccan Government.
The Tangiers office will also incorporate Anertz Muniategi, an expert in maritime law from the Seville office, who will permanently relocate to Morocco. His work will focus on the new Tanger Méditerranée port, which is destined to be the main driving force for the revitalization of northern Morocco.

Following the opening of the new office, Garrigues will be the only law firm to have more than one office in Morocco.
