Garrigues’ Corporate team, contributors to the International Capital Markets Review 2012

The team compiles the structure of the Spanish capital markets regulations in the context of the crisis in the international financial markets

Members of the Corporate team, led by Javier Ybáñez and composed of José Luis Palao Iturzaeta and Ignacio Corujo del Valle, have contributed with the second edition of the “International Capital Markets Review”, where they analyze the relevant regulation and regulatory developments in the Spanish legal market in the this area of expertise during the last year and where special attention is paid to the changes and trends produced by the recent international financial crisis.

“International Capital Markets Review” is a guide to current practice of international capital markets in 24 of the most significant jurisdictions worldwide, and it attempts to put relevant law and practice into context. The recent financial markets crisis have placed the international capital markets (‘ICM’) law and practice in the public debate, as it’s in need of an analytical review of the key issues faced by ICM lawyers capturing most recent developments and putting them in the context of the jurisdiction’s legal and regulatory structure. This review comes to cover this need by selecting the most important matters to be commented by the leading capital markets practitioners around the world.

This is the second time that the editor Jeffrey Golden counts on Garrigues’ collaboration for the publication of the Spanish chapter of this review, under the prestigious publishing firm Law Business Review. Jeffrey Golden is a Visiting Professor in the Law Department at the London School of Economics and Political Science and a member of the Foundation's Panel of Recognised International Market Experts in Finance. Law Business Research publishes the second edition of The International Capital Markets Review within the specialized collection “The Law Reviews”, a business focused legal analysis in the most significant jurisdictions worldwide.
