Garrigues brings Jaime Silva on board as partner in the Labor and Employment Department

Garrigues adds new partner Jaime Silva to its Labor and Employment Department in Madrid. In his 22 years’ experience, he has crafted a solid career trajectory in labor and employment legal advisory services to domestic and international companies. His appointment remains to be ratified by the Garrigues Partners’ Meeting.

A law graduate from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) with a master’s degree in legal advisory services (MAJ) from Instituto de Empresa, Silva’s career has centered on strategic advice in connection with labor law, as well as on the management of ongoing needs related to business operations. In a career involving various law firms (including Garrigues, where he spent his first ten years as a lawyer), he has worked for clients in various economic sectors, including banking, insurance and the pharmaceutical industry.

Particularly notable is his experience in acting as counsel for companies in employment litigation and collective disputes, together with that in collective bargaining and advisory services specialized in senior management.

Silva is a regular speaker at specialized labor law forums and conferences and lectures on a number of master's degree and postgraduate programs. Additionally, he has authored a range of specialized labor law papers and articles. He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
