Garrigues Canarias has offices in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, founded in 1997, and in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, inaugurated in 1999.
This office provides expert legal advice in administrative and zoning law, labor and employment law, company law (mergers, acquisitions, business restructuring), litigation (all types of court and arbitration proceedings) and maritime and transportation law. Furthermore, the tax practice has extensive experience in all matters related to business restructuring processes, the Canary Islands Economic and Tax Regime (REF), and offers comprehensive tax advice, including aspects such as investment by nonresidents in the Canary Islands. It also provides integral advisory services on family business-related matters.
Garrigues currently has a team of professionals working out of the two Canary Island offices and its client base comprises public and private enterprises from all sectors of the economy. We also act for individuals in certain cases.
Our areas of expertise reflect the focus of the Canary Islands’ economy, meaning that a large majority of our clients operate in the leisure and tourism industries, as well as in the construction and real estate development, distribution and retail sectors.
