Francisco Sánchez Hernández is principal associate in the Administrative Law, Planning and Zoning, and Environmental practices.

He has broad experience in the processing of administrative proceedings and the preparation of all kinds of administrative appeals, and in acting as legal counsel before the judicial review courts at all instances and levels (courts, high courts, national appellate court and supreme court). His particular areas of expertise include: condemnation proceedings; planning, zoning management and enforcement; public contracts, advising on tender procedures and in dealings with the Central Administrative Procurement Appeals Tribunal; legal assistance with environmental assessments for the implementation of plans, projects and activities; subsidies; special properties, advising multiple clients on matters relating to water (application for and obtainment of concessions, penalty proceedings), coastlines (demarcation, penalty proceedings) and ports (legal feasibility analysis of expanding port infrastructure and facilities); and renewable energies.

He also provides recurring legal advice to public authorities, public law entities and public sector companies at regional and local level on aspects such as the applicable procurement regime, financing alternatives in a wide range of contracts, the rules on reversion of title to condemned assets, as well as acting as legal counsel in the judicial review jurisdiction.

He has lectured on the Master’s Degree in Regional and Local Finance at the Business School (ENAE) of Fundación Universidad Empresa in Murcia.
