The Woman Forward Foundation has recognized Garrigues as a company that promotes equality. With the aim of raising the profile of companies and leading figures that are instrumental in change, the Woman Forward Foundation has launched its CEOs, Palancas del Cambio awards for equality in the context of the 50 companies that form part of its I Ranking of Companies for Equality. Fernando Vives, executive chairman of Garrigues, collected the award for the firm in the Gold Category of Large Companies without a Board.

The Woman Forward Foundation, which promotes female leadership in the business world, had a prestigious panel for the awards comprised of experts in diversity and sustainable leadership with the aim of highlighting the companies that are benchmarks with more inclusive, innovative and competitive management models. In addition to the awards ceremony, the event was attended by leading representatives from the business, academic and social worlds, who shared their best practices in equality and discussed the challenges and opportunities posed by gender diversity in the workplace.

"For Garrigues, it is an honor to receive this award, which recognizes our work over the years to ensure equality at the firm" said Vives.

Equal opportunity is one of Garrigues’ major priorities. In 2022, it took another step forward with the approval of the Fourth Equality Plan, which is part of the firm's ESG objectives and furthers the 2008, 2017 and 2020 Equality Plans. In 2021, the Spanish Ministry of Equality awarded the firm an extension of the Company Equality Distinction, mark of excellence with which it recognizes entities "that stand out in a relevant and especially significant way in the application of equal treatment and equal opportunity policies", which the firm has held since 2017.
