Centro de Estudios Garrigues is a teaching institution affiliated to the firm. Founded in 1994, Centro de Estudios Garrigues pursues activities in the field of training and the study and research on legal and economic subjects relating to the firm’s professional activity: legal, tax, finance and human resources.
The center is conceived as an open forum for participation by professionals hailing from a whole range of backgrounds, and as another means for the firm to engage with society at large. To this end, it is able to draw on the services of the most prestigious lecturers from universities, the judiciary, the public authorities, professional firms and private enterprise.
The center’s ties to the firm and the fact that its teaching staff are professional practitioners enable it to tailor the content and methodology of its programs, with the aim of “preparing students for work” in line with the reality of the business world and the changing demands of society.

Executive Programs: compatible with work and aimed at experienced professionals.
In-company Training Programs: tailored to the needs of each company, and placing particular emphasis on training in competencies requiring a mix of technical know-how and practical skills.
Ad hoc programs for foreign university students, particularly from Latin America.
Other open-access courses and seminars: looking at the latest issues and matters of particular law and business-related interest.
Centro de Estudios Garrigues is authorized to deliver training programs as a center attached to Universidad Antonio de Nebrija, and is thus entitled to offer official master’s degree programs that are fully recognized within the European Higher Education Area.
Internationalization has taken on increasing importance within the programs offered by Centro de Estudios. All students have the option, on completing the teaching portion of their respective master’s degree programs at the center, to spend time at some of the most prestigious US universities to carry out research projects and attend specialist courses.
With respect to Latin America, the center has signed collaboration agreements with Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico), Universidad Austral (Argentina), Universidad de los Andes (Chile), Universidad Javeriana de Cali (Colombia) and Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (Peru), and with Fundación Euroamérica, Fundación Carolina and Funglode (Dominican Republic).Centro de Estudios Garrigues has also signed collaboration agreements with most of the leading law firms and enterprises for professional practice management, as well as agreements with foundations and other academic institutions in order to promote study and research in the field of tax and law.
The center has notably signed an agreement with Fundación Universia, which offers grants to various students with disabilities each year, covering 75% of their academic fees. Moreover, in conjunction with the Garrigues Foundation and publishing house Thompson Reuters, the center organizes the Young Lawyers Awards each year, to promote excellence in the knowledge of business law and skill in its application.
