Juan is a counsel in the Administrative Law, Planning and Zoning, and Environmental practice areas.
He has extensive experience in advising public and private entities and financial institutions on matters concerning public sector contracts (tenders, awards, amendments, rebalancing and early termination) and excluded sector contracts.
He also has a wealth of experience in representing clients before the judicial review courts as well as in legal audit processes and experience in the preparation of reports on hydrocarbons, water resources, waste, trade, transport, planning, historic heritage and the tobacco industry.
He has provided advice on international projects concerning infrastructure and passenger transport. Worthy of particular note is his advisory work for Bogotá City Hall involving an analysis of the best construction model for Line One of the Bogotá Metro, in the context of a consultancy arrangement financed by the World Bank.
Juan Muguerza Odriozola is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
