Carlos García Barcala is the partner in charge of Labor Law Department for Garrigues in Asturias, Castilla y León and Galicia, Firm in which he has developed his career after working in Arthur Andersen . He specializes in labor law, and has extensive experience in relation to labor litigation, restructuring of workforces, mass layoffs, (reductions in force (ERE), processes of modification of working conditions, etc...) and collective bargaining.
He is a member of the Oviedo Bar Association and is one of the mediators at the Asturias Out-of-Court Dispute Resolution Service, after being put forward by Federación Asturiana de Empresarios, the Asturian employers’ association.
He is an associate lecturer on labor and social security law subjects at Universidad de Oviedo and a lecturer on the Course for Admission to the List of Duty Labor and Employment Lawyers.
The partner of Garrigues is a regular speaker at numerous conferences, courses and seminars concerning labor and employment law (Cámara de Comercio de Oviedo y Valladolid, Federación Asturiana de Empresarios, etc.),
