Silvia Suárez is a principal associate in the tax department of Garrigues. Silvia Suárez joined to Garrigues in 2007 and she has been a principal associate since 2022.
She specialises in tax and accounting law. She has extensive experience in the areas of corporate taxation, indirect taxation, family business and personal and asset taxation.
Among others, she participates in projects related to:
- Planning and execution of company acquisition processes.
- Due diligences.
- Corporate restructuring operations.
- Preparation of tax closings of consolidated groups.
- Assistance in tax audits and investigations.
- Advice on family groups and companies in terms of business and family matters, assets and legacies.
She is a member of the family business and VAT specialisation groups at Garrigues.

- Degree in Business Administration (Universidad de Oviedo).
- Master’s Degree in Business Law (Centro de Estudios Garrigues in conjunction with Harvard Law School).

She is a member of the Governing Board of the Association of Economists of Asturias.
