Rui Pedro Martins is a senior associate in the Criminal Law, Administrative Sanctions and Compliance department at Garrigues.
He focuses his practice on Economic and Financial Criminal Law, with extensive experience in criminal proceedings of high technical complexity.
Throughout his career, he has provided strategic advice and legal representation to a diverse client base, with a particular focus on key economic sectors.

Rui Pedro Martins has been a senior associate in the Criminal Law, Administrative Sanctions and Compliance department since January 2026.
Prior to joining Garrigues, he was an associate at several law firms, focusing his practice on economic and financial criminal law and administrative sanctioning proceedings, an area in which he has over 12 years of experience.
He has been involved in some of the most high-profile criminal proceedings in Portugal and has experience in international litigation, particularly involving CPLP jurisdictions.
Throughout his career, he has advised and represented companies, members of corporate bodies, individuals, public and private entities, both national and international, and political and public office holders, with wide-ranging experience in all stages of criminal proceedings and in the strategic management of the public impact of such cases.
