Pilar González is a partner in the Tax area of Garrigues' Santiago de Chile office. Her practice focuses on providing tax advisory services to companies and individuals, including the structuring and reorganization of both domestic and international businesses and personal estates. She also provides ongoing advice on the design of tax-efficient structures and the assessment of tax contingencies in all stages of the business life cycle. She has experience in dispute resolution before the Chilean Internal Revenue Service and the Tax and Customs Courts, participating in tax inspection and litigation processes. She has a post-graduate degree in tax law, having obtained an LL.M. from Queen Mary University of London. She is a professor of tax law at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at Chilean academic institutions.

Her practice focuses on providing tax advisory services, including company reorganizations, tax planning and investment structuring for businesses and individuals, at both local and international level. She advises clients across a range of industries, such as investment, services, real estate and business groups, supporting them in the development of their businesses and the assessment of tax contingencies. She also has experience in resolving tax disputes before the Chilean Internal Revenue Service and the Tax and Customs Courts.
Before joining Garrigues as a partner, Pilar had been a partner at Barros Silva Varela & Vigil since 2023, where she previously served as a director between 2020 and 2023. Prior to that she was an associate at Zarhi, Dreyse & Amar (2019–2020) and at Cabello, Letonja y Cía (2012–2017).
She is fluent in Spanish and English.
